The Plain of Brescia
The plain of Brescia stretches from the south of the town to the border with the territories of Cremona and Mantua. The rolling hills of Franciacorta and Lake Garda open out onto huge flat lands. The plain is green in spring, gold with wheat and red with poppies in summer and dark in winter.
Medieval castles and fortresses defend the Oglio valley. Each of them has a story to tell and encompasses a mystery that combines legend and reality.
The river cuts these lands, rich in history and culture, in two and is still an important source of work and profit. Typical tastes of tradition mix with excellent red wines and country feasts to welcome tourists.
ArteconNoi organises tours around these amazing lands combining art and history, and, if you wish, tastings of typical local products too.
